Located near Tonganoxie, KS, just west of the Kansas Speedway, Camp Tongawood hosts science and technology programs in the Environmental Outpost and wetlands. Eighty acres of woods, hills and a small pond provide ample opportunities for exploration. Camp Tongawood has a lodge, two permatent units, primitive camping sites, zipline, archery range, traverse climbing wall, wetlands, hiking, geocaching, and orienteering.
The lodge at Tongawood has a kitchen, showers, bathrooms, and mattresses. The Mansfield Shelter and Yucca Flats areas are available for day and evening activities. All outdoor units other than primitive sites have cots, mattresses and latrines.
Tongawood has everything the scientific camper could ask for.
