Home > Programs > Summer Challenge Days > Brownie Horseback Riding
Are you a Girl Scout Brownie interested in riding horses? This session is for you. During this session, Brownies will be able to experience riding in a safe, fun environment in the arena provided by trained riding staff and teen wranglers.

During this 2 ½ hour program, girls will learn how to be safe around horses, ride a horse all by themselves and learn fun horse facts. Girls will learn to control the horse assigned to them at a walk, doing turns, circles and reverses. They will play games and go through obstacles. Girls will be paired up with a buddy and share a horse each getting approximately 45 minutes of ride time. While on the sidelines, girls will be able to see the horse in motion and learn about breeds, colors and markings and more!

*Bring long pants, a water bottle and boots with a ½ smooth heel (if you have them). Helmets and boots will be provided.
