Project ideas:
  • Make cards for veterans at the VA hospital
  • Make cards for soldiers and give to USO
  • Visit a nursing home: deliver cards, sing songs, play board games, paint fingernails
  • Organize a collection drive (personal care items, food, pet items)
  • Make blankets for Project Linus
  • Volunteer at a local soup kitchen or food pantry
  • Clean up at your neighborhood park or nature center
  • Volunteer to clean a local museum
  • Volunteer at your local animal shelter
  • Perform random acts of kindness
  • Decorate placemats for a senior meal delivery service or nursing home
  • Stuff warm socks with snacks and fruit to pass out to people who are homeless
  • Help with chores and yard work for those that can’t do it anymore
  • Help prepare a community garden for spring planting
  • Collect and donate DVDs to Kid Flicks
  • Host an activity or field day for your community
  • Bake and deliver cookies to a local police or fire station
  • Donate stuffed animals to a local police department
  • Volunteer at your local library
  • Volunteer to do a project for your troop’s meeting place (church or school)
