Program Name:  Res-PAW-nsibility: Being a Responsible Pet Owner

Who:  Daisy

What:  This program teaches children how to care for a pet. Girls will learn about the many components to properly care for a pet.   Each pet care item in the lesson is identified and discussed to help the girls learn about proper care of a pet. This is a great tie-in with the 5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animals Journey.


Program Name:  Kids in Action

Who: Brownie - Ambassador

What:  Each troop will be given an educational tour of the shelter and will complete one hour of community service.  The community service project will involve non-contact animal projects.  Each girl will help with projects that will directly affect the quality of life and well-being of those animals at Wayside Waifs.  Projects may vary depending upon shelter needs. 


Program Name:  Educational Tours

Who:  All Grade Levels

What:  Troops experience an educational tour of the Wayside Waifs campus.  From animal intake and rescue, to our state-of-the-art Veterinary Medical Center, the Adoption Center and adoptable pets, to a 5-acre Bark Park and Memorial Gardens, girls will experience all that Wayside Waifs has to offer.  Approximately 1 hour in length.
