Program Name:  Meet the Morpho NEW!

 Who: All

When: March 7 - March 31

What:  Learn about the morpho butterfly’s life cycle and habitat and see these beautiful blue butterflies in flight!

Cost Per Girl: $6

Cost Per Adult: Troop leaders free, $10 for additional adults


Program Name: Tropic Trek NEW!

Who:  Juniors

When: March 7 - March 31

What: Explore the rainforest habitat, including special plant adaptations, and discover why you should care about rain forests.

Cost Per Girl: $6

Program Name:  How Plants Grow – From Seed to Harvest

Who: Daisy

What: Pull up roots, examine shoots and search the gardens for edible fruits as you learn about the parts and functions of plants. Plus, girls will also get to plant in the Fun Foods Farm and taste seasonally available produce. This is a terrific step for Daisies working their way through the Welcome to the Daisy Flower Garden Journey or for any Daisy wanting to learn more about plants!

Program Name:  Blooming Beauty

Who: Juniors

What: Join us as we take on an up-close look at plant reproduction.  We will examine a flower and discover where fruits and vegetables come from.  Plus, Girl Scouts will also get to plant in the Fun Foods Farm and taste seasonally available fruits. This is an exciting way to complete one of the steps in the Gardener Badge.

Program Name:  Let’s Move in the Heartland

Who: Cadettes

What: Let us help whet your girls’ appetite for fresh produce.  On a guided tour of the Heartland Harvest Garden, students will walk the equivalent of 2 ½ city blocks, see produce growing in aesthetically pleasing settings, learn about the importance of eating fresh foods and will sample something grown in the Gardens.  Cadettes will learn about how healthy eating affects everything from your skin to your energy levels and sleep. This is a great way for Girl Scouts to earn a step in their Eating for Beauty Badge.

Program Name:  Heartland Harvest Garden Scavenger Hunt

Who: Daisy-Cadette

What: Explore our 12 acre Heartland Harvest Garden through our exciting self-guided scavenger hunt.  Your Troop will use an activity guide and the garden to answer a fun fruit riddle.
