Program Name:  Multicultural Storytime

Who:  Brownies

When: 1st and 3rd Saturdays, 10:30 -11 a.m.

Where:  Reader’s Theatre (Lawrence Public Library event space, 707 Vermont)

What: Brownies are encouraged to attend the unique Multicultural Storytimes which fits perfectly into the World of Girls Journey.  Girl Scouts will enjoy a guest presenter storytelling, singing and providing insight into their language and culture.  The whole family and troop is welcome.  Come to one, or come to all to explore a variety of cultures!

Program Name: Computer Crashing

Who: Cadette-Ambassador

When: March 13th, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Where: Readers Theater (Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont)

What: Come learn all the ins and outs of computers by taking one apart! In computer crashing we’ll be pulling apart old computers to see what makes them tick. This is the opportunity you’ve always wanted to take a look at what’s inside these great machines we play and work with every day.

Program Name: Intro to Yoga

Who: Cadette-Ambassador

When: April 18th, 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Where: Auditorium  (Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont)

What: On your way to GIRLtopia, learn about Yoga and how it can improve your life and the lives of others: Ever wonder what the big deal is about yoga? Come and learn some basic poses as well as some of the science and history behind this awesome activity. As the famous yogi, Krishnamacharya used to say, "If you can breathe, you can do yoga."

Program Name: Solar Panels and S’Mores

Who: Cadette-Ambassador

When: April 22, 2015 from 3 – 4 p.m.

Where: Readers Theater (Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vermont)

What: It’s your Planet, Love it! Celebrate Earth Day with us as we learn about the power of the sun. How much energy do you consume? Where does this energy come from? Just like you eat food for energy; houses use coal, wind, and the sun for energy. Come join us in a discussion about where all this energy comes from. And bring your sweet tooth and your thinking caps to help us make some solar powered s’mores!
