Program Name: Rural School Days

Who: Junior (4 hour program); Daisy, Brownie and Junior (1 hour program)

When: Saturdays:  9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (4 hour program); 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. or 1 p.m. (1 hour program)

Where: Kansas Museum of History, 6425 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66615

What: Step back in time to the early 1900s when you attend the Stach School. Plan your clothing, pack a lunch and walk to the one-room school along a quarter-mile path winding through the Kansas prairie grass. The bell is ringing! Don’t be late! The school ‘marm’ is waiting to start class. Her job is very important and one of the few available to women in rural Kansas. Troop Leaders will find ties to the Journeys: A World of Girls and aMUSE during this program.

Cost Per Girl: $5 (4 hour program); $2 (1 hour program)

Cost Per Adult: N/A
