Harvesters Fall Girl Scout Opportunities

Harvesters has two great ways for troops to volunteer this fall. Check out the following information on the Our Community Can drive and the Juliette Low Birthday Celebration.

Our Community Can
All Ages

Adopt your neighborhood for Harvesters' BIG neighborhood food drive this September! Become a Hunger Champion during Hunger Action Month by rallying your neighbors to donate food for Harvesters!

It's so easy. Contact Harvester and let them know your interest and what neighborhood you live in. Then, pick up bags from us and deliver them to your neighbors on Saturday, Sept. 21.

On Saturday, Sept. 28 pick up the bags of donated food from your neighbors and bring them to a drop-off location (exact sites determined at later date).

To sign up and learn more call 877-653-9517 or email fooddrive@harvesters.org.

Juliette Low Birthday Celebration & Service Event
Daisy – Ambassadors (volunteers must be at least 6 years old)

Celebrate Juliette Low's birthday in great Girl Scout fashion with a service project at Harvesters; girls of all ages will be able to assist Harvesters towards their goal of collecting 20,000 meals in honor of Juliette Low in the Volunteer Outreach Center and by conducting neighborhood food drives.

Work with your troop to host a food drive at your schools, faith based organizations, neighborhoods or parents' offices. Then bring food to one of the celebrations listed below. At each celebration, you’ll learn about Harvesters, sort and repackage donated food and end the day with a birthday cake and celebration for Juliette Low.

If you would like help getting started, let Harvesters know. They have many great ideas to help engage your community!
