Program Name: Scouting for the Basics
- Drive will take place between September 28 and October 14.
- On Saturday, October 17 from 9:30 p.m. – 11 a.m. or Sunday, October 18 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. the girls can drop off their collection and they will get a tour of Giving the Basics and will help sort and package what they collected. It is not mandatory to count and sort the items if the troop only wants to do a drive.

This is a Kansas City Metro area-wide product drive that includes all human
dignity products not covered by government assistance or food stamps. Girl
Scouts of all ages will collect items like feminine hygiene products, soap,
shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, shaving cream, toothpaste, razors, lotion,
laundry soap and household cleaning supplies.
Contact schools, businesses, churches, neighbors, family, and friends to
help in your drive! Giving the Basics can supply barrels to be dropped at
schools, business or churches if your troop arranges a drive. A full list of

Please make sure to reserve
your troops date for the warehouse by September 26, 2015.
If your troop can not drop items at the caves on a designated date please call
Michele at 913-269-1736 for arrangements for the items to be picked up.

Additional Information: Please read and follow the directions on this pdf. Girls who attend on October 17 or 18 to help pack
and package should dress to work and bring a water bottle and snack with them.
All Girl Scouts must bring with them this completed release if they are touring the warehouse.
