What: The Art Cart is a drop-in art activity station where families and other groups can enjoy hands-on art projects together, taking inspiration from the works on view in the Museum's galleries. The theme and location of the Art Cart changes each month. Activities focus on one or two works of art in the galleries and easy to follow instructions for the art making activity are provided. A museum volunteer is available to answer any questions.

Additional Information: The theme for January activity will be "Body Language" where Girl Scouts will learn how gesture, expression, and body language in art can help tell a story.  In February, "What's the Big Idea?" will be the theme, exploring how ideas and concepts can create a work of art.  March’s theme, "What Lies Beneath", will experiment with scratchboards and doodling to create an artwork.  Finally in April the theme will be "What's the Story?", learn how artists tell stories through their work and create a storyboard based on your own experiences. April’s Art Cart will only be available the first two weekends.
