The troop planning guide is a list of all activities currently available for this grade level.  We are always adding activities to the calendar, so be sure to check back to see new opportunities available.

    On Saturday, October 8th, start the day at 11am with the Great Pumpkin Fest for all ages. At noon, those Girl Scouts who are Juniors and older can enter Scare School.  After Scare school, for those that dare, HAUNT is open until 1am. HAUNT is recommended for anyone ages 14 and older.

    A small group of KU graduate students will lead Girl Scout Troops on a nature walk around the Girl Scout campground (or other designated nature areas) to discover the biodiversity of Kansas (or Missouri). Girl Scouts will learn how to use field guides to identify what they observe in the wild. They will also learn how naturalists capture and preserve specimens such as plants, animals, insects, and fossils. Using what they have learned, Girl Scouts will then work as a group to create their own specimen collection that is representative of the local habitat. Content will be adjusted for the age of the troop level participating. (Length: ~2 hours; ideally on two different occasions)
