Girl Scouts


Zipline

  Girls choose how to challenge themselves at the zipline. From climbing up the rope ladder to scooting off the platform and zipping through the air, each girl finds the opportunity to try something new. All of the necessary equipment and trained volunteer instructors will be provided for troops on the dates/locations listed in the table below.

Who: Registered Girl Scouts in grades K-12. A maximum of 12 girls will be placed in each time slot. Larger groups will be split into multiple time slots.

Required Dress: Tennis shoes (or other sturdy shoes) are required. Long hair should be pulled back and all loose or dangly clothing and accessories should be secured. Pants or longer shorts are recommended.

Supervision: Troop first aid certified person and leaders/adults in SafetyWise ratio must stay at the zipline with the troop while girls participate in this activity.

Cancellation Procedure: Sometimes we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances including weather, volunteer availability, and equipment malfunction. We will make every effort to contact your troop in the event of a cancellation.

Registration: Download an Outdoor Reservation: Program form. Follow instructions on form and submit completed form with $10 deposit to council headquarters. Submit a separate form and deposit for each reservation. Reservations will be processed beginning December 1 for spring 2010.
