Troop
Camping:
Info for Troop Leaders

Troop Camping is a group overnight experience planned and carried out by a group of girls and their advisors/leaders.
  • Troop Camping is available at all nine camps and five “little houses.” Over 1,600 girls per night have over 1,800 acres to explore at Girl Scout camp!
  • Overnight accommodations include cabins, lodges, troop houses, permatents, platform tents, Adirondacks, A-frame cabins, covered wagons and primitive sites.
  • At least one adult must have troop camp certification, current first aid and CPR.
  • Day use will be scheduled in primitive areas only. No fee applies.
  To register:

  • Troop leaders complete an Outdoor Reservation: Troop Camping form and submit a $20 deposit to reserve a building or campsite. (Deposit is not required for overnight or day use of primitive sites.)
  • Mail or fax form to council representative.
  • Overnight fees are determined on a per-person, per-night basis: $3 for buildings, $1.50 for camp units (permatents, Adirondacks, etc.), $1 for primitive sites. Day use of primitive sites is available at no charge.
  • The $20 deposit is applied to the camp fee, and a minimum fee of $20 is required for each reservation with the exception of primitive sites. No deposit is required if troop is redeeming magazine credit.
  • Full payment is due 4 weeks in advance of the event. (Cancellations after this date forfeit deposit and any fees collected.)
  • Reservation processing begins June 1, 2008 for fall of 2008. Troop camping processing will begin December 1, 2008 for spring of 2009.
