Steps to becoming a Brownie Girl Scout Leader:
- Troop Leader Orientation
Orientation should be taken as soon as possible. Call your Service Team Manager, Troop Consultant, or Membership Manager to arrange for this training. This training must be taken before Leadership Essentials Training and will help you get ready for your first troop meeting.
- Leadership Essentials Training
Leadership Essentials Training is required of all new Girl Scout Troop Leaders and Assistant Leaders. For the full course description and training dates, click here.
- Brownie Training
Brownie Training is required of all new Girl Scout Brownie Troop Leaders/Assistant Leaders and of Troop Leaders of troops bridging from Daisies. Brownie Training provides specific information on working with Brownies, how to choose age-appropriate activities, how to involve girls in planning, and the available Girl Scout resources. Topics will also include how to earn Try-Its and the Brownie Journey Awards, bridging activities, and troop government.
