Troop Camping Certification
This course is required for adults taking girls camping for the first time. Participants must attend both parts; the second part is an overnight. Plan to complete your training before reserving your camp site to take your girls camping.
Part One - A three-hour planning session including girl planning, safety standards, and actual menu planning for part two of the training. Bring a copy of Safety-Wise.
Part Two - A hands-on overnight session at the campsite beginning on a weekend evening and ending the following afternoon. Skill and activities include: knots, fire building, nature activities, campsite set-up, outdoor flag ceremony and a variety of cooking methods. Detailed equipment list will be provided at Part one.

Advanced Outdoor Cooking
Receive recipes and taste test food cooked using five different outdoor cooking methods: advanced stick, foil and tin can, Dutch oven, Reflector and Box oven. Bring your mess kit, cup and utensils.

Orienteering and Geocaching — Together in one class!
Come to camp and be trained to lead your girls on a scavenger hunt - Girl Scout style. You will learn how to read topographical maps, use a compass and a GPS (global positioning system) unit. You will also learn about GIS (global information systems) and digital mapping; how they work and how they can be used with your girls.
Please dress for the weather (we will be outside), wear comfortable shoes for hiking, and bring a sack lunch.
