Leadership Essentials Training is required of all new Girl Scout Troop Leaders and Assistant Leaders. (This is the new name for Basic Leader Training.) The course provides critical information on the Girl Scout mission and how to implement it. Also covered are basic procedures, safety considerations, and how to run a troop meeting. Troop Leaders must complete both Leadership Essentials Training and age level training (Daisy, Brownie, or Junior Training) to complete their training requirements.
