Thank you for your interest in becoming a challenge volunteer with Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri! The Girl Scout challenge program is a youth development program based on a “challenge of choice” philosophy. We use traditional camp activities and ropes course elements like the zipline and rappel tower to help girls learn to make choices for themselves and support each other’s choices. Several different volunteer positions are available in the Girl Scout challenge program:
Men, women and teens from all walks of life choose to become challenge volunteers for Girl Scouts. Each volunteer position requires specific training, annual updates or skills validations, and a minimum service commitment. Challenge volunteers are a committed team of caring adults and teens who participate actively in the program throughout the year. Together, we share a common bond of helping girls grow strong through age-appropriate outdoor adventures.
Thanks you for your interest in becoming a challenge instructor. The specific requirements, training dates and pre-requisites for each volunteer position can be found by clicking the links above.
