Day Camp Director/Assistant Director

Learn how to lead a Day Camp Ad Staff to create an unforgettable outdoor experience where girls feel good about themselves; learn how to be independent; and feel accepted by others. Learn how to work with your team to implement the girl/adult partnership in day camp activities and learn how to ask questions that challenge girls to think beyond the activity at hand.

Administrative topics of interest include: staff recruitment, supervision and training, guidelines for decision making, and building the camp budget.

Day Camp Director/Assistant Director Workshop
(This is a supplement to Director training.)Learn more about your leadership style and how you can work with a variety of personalities, overcome staffing challenges and communicating with adult volunteers to make sure your camp is the best it can be! Delegating, reassuring, teaching or problem solving - you'll do all of these and more in your Director role at Day Camp. PLEASE NOTE: This session does not take the place of Day Camp Director training.

Day Camp Health & Safety Coordinator

Training will provide information and resources to assist in planning and supervising the safety and security of day camps. This includes: responsibilities of the Health and Safety Coordinator, council guidelines and procedures, forms, first aid supplies, health station set-up, security awareness, and assistance in preparing for a safe and secure camping experience.

Day Camp Program Manager

You are the key to good program! Take a close-up look at your job before, during, and after camp. Learn how to recruit and supervise camp, plan, schedule and evaluate programs, and how to implement girl planning.

Day Camp Business Manager

Explore the administrative side of day camp by learning how to: work with a team to plan and carry out a major event, conduct camp registration, prepare a day camp budget and do the camp bookkeeping, order insurance, busses and equipment, and recruit and supervise staff.

Day Camp Teen Coordinator

Day camp is a great leadership opportunity as well as program experience for teens. Come and learn about the characteristics and needs of adolescents, preparing teens for leadership roles at camp, and program opportunities for them.
