Description: |
Newhouse Battered Women’s Shelter will present parts of the Positive Power Curriculum as well as explain
personal safety and what shelter life is like for children to Brownies and Juniors. Or... provide supplemental programs like the “In Her Shoes program”. “In Her Shoes” is an interactive exercise explaining the barriers battered women face. Also provided will be special topics such as teen dating violence to Teens and Leaders. Tours of the shelter are available also. Please call to schedule.

We will ask the girls to collect products for the shelter such as toiletries, paper products, canned goods, etc. in addition to what the troop may collect for the Girl Scouts’ annual Positive Power Collection Drive. |
