Hike Missouri!
Spend the weekend hiking, backpacking, and exploring the wilds of Knob Noster State Park, near Cameron, Missouri! Practice Leave No Trace camping, plan and cook your own meals, learn to use backpacking gear, and work together to create and carry out a hiking plan. Of course, there will be plenty of time to hang out with your friends! This trip will originate and end at the Girl Scout Headquarters. Basic backpacking gear is necessary for this trip. Please contact Kara for assistance with equipment procurement—some equipment is available for loan.

Adventures in Backpacking--Arkansas
Get ready for a fall backpacking adventure! Challenge yourself both physically and mentally on this 15-mile backpacking trip through the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. You’ll meet great new people and work together to climb the mountains and check out cool caves in Devil’s Den State park, while learning and practicing Leave No Trace ethics. Participants in this event will plan an individual backpacking menu and provide their own food. Basic backpacking gear is necessary for this trip. Please contact Kara for assistance with equipment procurement—some equipment is available for loan. This trip will originate and end at the Girl Scout Headquarters.

Survival Night
Join other teen girl scouts and outdoor program volunteers in an unforgettable survival experience. Learn about the necessities of survival including food, water, fire and shelter while challenging yourself to spend the night outdoors in a shelter you build yourself! You can choose to camp in a survival group of 2 or 3 girls or, for the experienced survivalist, to camp “solo” and spend most of your 24 hour survival experience on your own.
