Fall 2009

Welcome to another great year of Girl Scouts! We are excited to implementing the second Girl Scout Journey curriculum It's Your Planet-Love it! This new curriculum will focus on the environment and how Girl Scouts can implement a variety of "green" initiatives. Along with the new Journey, Girl Scouts of NE Kansas & NW Missouri has been selected to be a pilot for a national Girl Scout program "Forever Green." We will be tracking the efforts of all our girls as they go green and perform community service in their communities. We are excited to be a part of this Girl Scout USA project.

Over the next 18 months, we will be working on our plans to celebrate the 100th birthday of Girl Scouts in 2012. We are working on a series of events and activities that will get girls, parents, adults, volunteers, staff and communities to take an active role in saying, "Happy Birthday" to Girl Scouts.
