Paint Glaze & Fire |
Description: |
Girls Scout groups may choose either to paint a ceramic piece, such as a plaque mirror or popcorn bowl, or use raw clay to create a mug, bowl or mask. A combo class is available to create both ceramic and raw clay projects! Badge workshops include verbal introduction and explanation of the ceramic and/or clay process, a studio tour including the kiln room. The class instructs Scouts to use various painting techniques, like working with stencils, stamps, sponges, other design tools, brush strokes and glaze application, as each relates to the chosen project(s). |
