Join us on this wonderful adventure of exploration and fun!

Spend your time exploring the shoreline of Camp Oakledge and discovering all the cool bugs and slugs you can find along the way. Learn about ecology, the environment and how you can do your part to protect the unique ecosystems that surround the Lake of the Ozarks. Plan and carry out a service project to help clean up the lake while also being a part of the fun camp culture!

Think of those hot summer days when all you want to do is spend time in the water. Here is your chance! Spend your time at the pool practicing your swimming strokes, perfecting your cannonball, or doing a crazy synchronized swimming routine. The pool is not the only wet place around camp though, discover other parts of camp that can gargle and splash and keep you cool on those hot days!

Ever think about what it would be like to spend time in a sailboat? Here is your chance! With the wind blowing through your hair and tugging on the sail, you will explore what it is like to captain your very own boat! For those who have never been on a sailboat or already have experience, there will be something for everyone to experience! Save time for camp activities like swimming, arts and crafts, and cooking out too! Campers in this program may sleep in tents on the ground.

Do you love the water? Then grab your paddle and PFD and head for your canoe! Play water games in the middle of the lake, set up water mazes for your friends to canoe through, maybe even take a day trip to a sandy beach to eat your lunch! Your time out of a canoe will be spent around camp hiking, swimming, campfires, and singing with your new friends! Campers in this program may sleep in tents on the ground.

Back by popular demand! Prepare yourself for a wet and adventurous week as we take to our kayaks and explore the wonders of the Lake of the Ozarks! Paddle to Bat’s Cave, explore the many coves that stretch along the shoreline, practice a rescue, maybe even pack a lunch to eat while floating on the lake with your new friends! Don’t worry, you won’t spend all of your time in the kayak; join us on land for games, hikes, swimming and more! Campers in this program may sleep in tents on the ground.

As the moon comes up, get ready to explore the mysteries of the night. In addition to crafts, swimming and hikes, you will stay up later than the rest of camp and sleep in longer while exploring constellations and nature at night! Do some stargazing, plan a night feast, or a sunset canoe. Let the darkness capture your imagination. While enjoying the wonderful world of camp during the night, spend your day taking part in all that camp has to offer.

Create your own wilderness camp! Learn skills like orienteering and wilderness survival or try your hand at lashing or digging your own pit latrine. You might even choose to have a “solo night” where you and a buddy set up your own campsite for the night! Many of your meals will be planned and prepared in your wilderness camp. You will spend your nights in either a two-person pitched tent or under the stars.

Back by popular demand! Kick back and relax from your busy life as you stay in Elmer’s Cove to relax and hang out with your friends. This program really allows you to run your day how you think it should be run! You will be able to choose your own break out sessions each day that will allow you to go kayaking, canoeing or sailing, swimming, or hiking. There are so many ways to spend your day - the sky’s the limit as you and your friends enjoy all that camp has to offer.

Do you want to experience the adventure of backpacking in one of Missouri’s most breathtaking areas? Join us on this nearly 2-week long, extended adventure through Mark Twain National Forest! You will be taking part in primitive camping, river crossings, land navigation, and observing some great scenery as you hike along the Ozark Trail. Don’t worry, you will have an opportunity to take part in camp activities before you leave and after you come back, so save room for swimming and camp games!
Prerequisite: Previous primitive camping experience is required.

THIS IS A 12-NIGHT SESSION |

Are you curious to see what is beyond Lake of the Ozarks? During this nearly 2-week long adventure, you’ll spend the first couple days at camp practicing your canoe strokes before you embark on a trip down the Current River in the Mark Twain National Forest. You will use your paddling and primitive camping skills as you navigate a six-day, 70-mile route. You and your friends will come home with great memories as you experience all that this trip has to offer.
Prerequisite: Previous primitive camping experience is required.

Join us for this wild two-week long adventure that will be spent conquering tough and fun challenges while building a strong bond amongst you and your teammates! You will also spend time participating in other camp activities like swimming, boating, and cookouts! Campers in this unit may sleep in tents on the ground.
