Plus, you’ll have time to spend doing other fun camp activities – like swimming, cooking out or having a campfire!

LC June 13-25 plus a 6-day internship $400

Be a leader; be a mentor; be a hero!  Spend time learning the ins and outs of being a camp counselor and learn leadership skills that you can utilize in camp and in your community!  Be a part of the camp environment before taking some time out to primitive camp at a location of your choice.  Make your own meals, build teamwork amongst your peers and learn more about your style of leadership.  You will spend plenty of time in units with children and counselors preparing for your internship in July!

Application Process:  CIT participants are selected through an application process. Download the CIT Application now and be sure to follow the additional steps below.

Internship:  Internships will take place at Camp Oakledge during July sessions and times will be determined by July 2.  Each CIT will spend time in a unit during a 6-day session as an intern counselor.  Completing a leadership program provides candidates with many of the skills necessary to excel in camp staff positions; however, it does not guarantee that a future applicant will be hired. Camp staff members are hired based on their qualifications, experience, references and criminal background checks.
