| The Mane Event | Grades 6-8 | ||
The Mane Event is an overnight horse experience that will satisfy any girl's horse craving! Girls will have a chance to groom, tack and ride their horse multiple times. There will be arena classes and possibly a trail ride. Girls will cookout and enjoy evening camp activities all geared toward horses! Participants in this program will tent camp. Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1,2 and 3 of weekend horse program |

| University of Equestrian Leadership | Grades 7-8 | ||
Looking for a herd to join? If you need to complete the Girl Scout Leadership requirement for future participation in CIT, WIT or Day Camp Aide and you would like to try working with horses this is the place for you. Complete the requirements for Leadership U and spend time with our herd. Working with horses can teach many worthwhile life skills such as leadership, responsibility and empathy. Participants will sleep in a temperature controlled building. Previous experience not required. |

| Wrangler in Training I | Grades 8-12 | ||
Interested in a future volunteer position working horses? This program is an apprenticeship with the opportunity to increase your horsemanship skills and knowledge. If you love working with horses and want to volunteer during weekend horse programs, this is the place for you! You will have the opportunity to work around horses each day in addition to time spent riding and participating in ground classes. Daily chores at the barn and assisting young riders during the day are an integral part of the program. After camp, a minimum of six days volunteering during weekend programs September 2010 - May 2011 is required. A evaluation rating of "meets expectations" at the end of the Spring program is required to continue apprenticeship to WIT II. Participants in this program tent camp. Prerequisite: Completion of Leadership U and one of the following: Level 1,2 and 3 during weekend program, Horsin' Around, Horse Master or Junior Master at resident camp or participation in Equestrian Spring Break 2010 or University of Equestrian Leadership. |

| Wrangler in Training II | Grades 9-12 | ||
Become a confident horsewoman as your knowledge and skills continue to grow. Continue your wrangler apprenticeship, which includes riding, daily ground classes and daily chores. You will also continue to practice teaching ground classes as you assist young riders participating in Day Camp. Completion of ground handling skill validation and a written test of "meets expectations" will earn your full title of "Wrangler". Participants in this program will tent camp. Prerequisite: Successful completion of WIT I and completion of six volunteer days during the 2009-2010 season of weekend horse program. |

| Riding Instructor in Training I | Grades 10-12 | ||
Start preparing yourself to be a riding instructor! You'll begin to understand the horse and rider in motion. Learn the "how and why" behind the lesson. Upon completion, you will be ready to work as an assistant riding instructor during the weekend horse program. Participants in this program will tent camp. Prerequisite: Successful completion of WIT II and completion of six volunteer days during the 2009-2010 horse program. |

| Riding Instructor in Training II | Grades 11-12 | ||
Ready to share your excitement for riding with others? Continue learning about the horse and rider in motion. Start developing an eye to correct rider problems. Make lesson plans, make horse assignments and deliver a class that is fun-filled for each rider. Upon completion, you will be ready to conduct your own arena class! Participants in this program will tent camp. Prerequisite: Successful completion of RIT I and completion of six volunteer days during the 2009-2010 weekend horse program. |
