Religious Institutions
|
Religious institutions play a vital role in the community and share many common goals with Girl Scouts. The partnership concept is supported by the study, Girl Scouts: Who We Are, What We Think, which found that girls who are active in both Girl Scouts and a religious organization make better moral decisions than girls who participate in only one or the other organization.
Both the religious organization and the Girl Scouts gain from partnerships:
Benefits to religious organizations
Youth programming - Girl Scout programs expand opportunities for girls and young women.
Lay Leadership - Adult members receive quality leadership training from the Girl Scouts
Membership - Families new to the community will be introduced to the religious institution
Outreach - New channels will be available to reach out to girls and young women.
Benefits to Girl Scouts
Girl Scout membership - New locations for recruitment and program delivery
Adult volunteers - Expanded volunteer base to identify potential volunteers
Awareness of the Girl Scout Program - Opportunities to promote Girl Scout ideals
Spiritual Emphasis - Program components which are at the heart of the Girl Scout Promise

Sponsorships
A Girl Scout Sponsor provides facilities (space) for Girl Scout
activities to take place. While this is typically a school, church
or community center where troop meetings take place, other examples
of Sponsorships include a company who provides warehouse space for
cookie delivery, or a commercial activity center that provides a
place for girls to go at a discount.

Scout Sponsorship Agreement.
Partnerships
A Girl Scout Partner provides more than one benefit to Girl Scouts
of NE Kansas & NW Missouri. These benefits could include providing volunteers,
making a financial contribution, providing supplies and/or promoting
Girl Scouts to their own constituents.

Scout Partnership Agreement.
All Girl Scout Sponsors and Partners will be recognized with a certificate,
presented by a local Girl Scout volunteer. Thanks in advance for
