As stated in the Preamble to the Constitution of the Girl Scouts of the USA: "We maintain that the strength of the Girl Scout movement rests in the voluntary leadership of its members."
Thanks to the commitment of thousands of adults in this community, Girl Scout troops flourish in northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri. In addition to troop leaders, volunteers are used to:

• train leaders and their assistants in everything from camping skills to youth development objectives,
• manage Girl Scout events,
• provide program consultation,
• help girls with outdoor challenges activities,
• mentor teenage girls,
• and help with administrative tasks.
