“The best parts of camp were that you can be yourself, you don't have to worry what you look like, the crazier you are the better, you can have a horrible singing voice, sometimes it's required, you learn and grow and teach girls to do the same, you learn to never take yourself to seriously, and you make some of the best friends of your life. Camp is an experience that every person should have and I would not give it up for the world.” --

“It is a place where you can totally be yourself, and nobody judges you. Everyone seems genuinely happy that you are with them, and they want to learn about you and where you come from. Despite being thousands of miles away from home, it was hard to feel lonely at camp, because there was always at least one person to talk to. I have always thought that in whatever situation, like school, or a new job, its the people there who make it what it is. It was definitely the campers, the counselors, the staff who made the summer one that I will never forget.” -- Cat |

“Camp is the most amazing place on earth, because the most amazing people decide to spend their summer there helping girls gain confidence and an appreciation for the outdoors.” -- Daisy
“Camp gives you the best bragging rights ever!” -- Bob
“I love working at camp because I get to play all day and pretend it's a job. Where else can you spend all day outside doing what you love and at the same time know that you are making an amazing difference in the lives of young girls?” --

"One of the best feelings in the world is to have a child look up to you as their hero and role model, something that I, along with many other counselors have experienced at camp. It is awesome to be apart of a friendly, and caring team of people that helps these girls to overcome different challenges they may face, inside and outside of camp. Although the girls are at camp for only a short time, the memories of these children and the wonderful staff will stay with me for a lifetime." -- Candice G. |
“Some people search their lifetimes for gold and riches. Others have the chance to experience priceless events everyday. From the smiles, laughter and friendships, working at camp has an endless amount of hidden treasures to discover.” --

“What makes me come back year after year is having the privilege to make a positive impact on the lives of all my campers and the staff. In what other one job can you be a teacher, a mother, a friend, a sister, a hero, a coach and yourself?” |
